1 pound green beans
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 large garlic clove (minced)
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and black pepper
1) Blanch green beans in a large stock pot of salted boiling water for 2 minutes
(until bright green, tender & crisp)
2) Drain and shock in a bowl of ice water to stop from cooking.
3) Heat a pan over medium heat.
4) Add oil and butter.
5) Add garlic and red pepper flakes and saute for 30 seconds.
